Dear Conscious Shopper,
Welcome to Adorn! In January of 2020 we set out on a journey to create a business that combined our passions; to see people set free by the love of Jesus, photography and design. My sister-in-law & I started by working with local makers in the states but knew ultimately we wanted to offer a marketplace for those who had been exploited and displaced around the world.
We soon established partnerships in Turkey, Thailand and most recently Morocco. Lilly & I had always intended for Adorn to be online-only but after exhibiting at our local summer market, we opened a retail space in Steamboat Springs, CO in November of 2020.
As I write this letter 3 years later, much has changed. Although Lilly is no longer a part of our day-to-day company, the fingerprints of her style and influence are laced all throughout Adorn. We now have an e-commerce, brick and mortar and wholesale business all in one! Our best friend Kendra Lovins has helped us establish flourishing projects around the world. While we still explore more partnerships our main mission is to see the men & women we work with be able to offer jobs to others that have been displaced and need a safe place to heal & work.
As we look forward to 2024 we anticipate immense growth as each side of the business is currently taking off in ways we couldn't have imagined. Bespoke Rug Program
Creates a timeless, handwoven rug that screams YOU. One-of-a-kind (literally) made of 100% wool and woven by independent women in Morocco. One of the collectives we work with began with a female activist and provides dignified employment for women in the area.
Adonai Coffee Collective
Farmed in a small village in Honduras, the high quality arabica beans are grown in Galana! SaRa’s family started going to Honduras 12 years ago to help this village by bringing clean drinking water and created a coffee farm in order to stabilize their local economy.
Sewing House
Many of our women are fleeing from abuse or rebuilding their lives after a childhood spent in the local juvenile detention center. It’s through these goods that women are offered a safe place to heal emotionally, make a livable wage, and experience the love of Jesus.
Adorn Seramiks
Designed in Steamboat + handmade by our team in Turkey. Their skill in the craft is impeccable and their heart for the underserved is what has led us to partnership. This incredible team of men & women teach, house, and care for people who have been displaced.
