This handmade Moroccan carpet is a deeply personal piece—an artistic retelling of the landscape and home where our weaver grew up. Each shape and hue was drawn from her memory: the warm terracotta walls of her childhood home, the tall green cypress trees that lined the horizon, the soft blue of distant doors and sky, and the golden sun that bathed the earth in afternoon light.
Handwoven in thick, plush wool, the design feels both abstract and familiar—a tapestry of place and belonging. The geometric motifs recall the layout of her village: stacked terraces of gardens, tall narrow dwellings, and the gentle rhythm of life lived in connection to land and community.
