Giving Thanks for our Partners: Naomi House

Giving Thanks for our Partners: Naomi House
“You are faithful to fulfill every promise you’ve made.
You manifest yourself as kindness in all you do.”

Psalm 145:13

As we gather around tables this week to give thanks for all of the wonderful things we have been given, we want to take a moment on the Overflow to give thanks for one of our dear partners, the Naomi House. Bearing witness to the miracles God has done in this place, bringing women out of trafficking and juvenile detention centers into fullness of life in Christ is something worth sharing and celebrating!

What is Naomi House?

Naomi House is a business and discipleship house in Thailand that supports at-risk women, equipping them with marketable skills while discipling them in their faith and raising them up to share the Gospel with unreached family members and communities. Naomi House is a refuge for women who have escaped persecution in their original homes, and provides a home to several girls released from the Chiang Mai juvenile detention center.

The women of Naomi House hand craft our beautiful cloth and linen pillows, aprons, napkins and table runners.

Testimony from Thailand

"Ramie" experienced an unspeakable injustice as a young child in her remote mountain village, which eventually led her to a path of incarceration in Chiang Mai juvenile prison. After finding healing, freedom and redemption in Jesus, "Ramie" wanted to share the Good News with her drug-addicted family members. When the Naomi House finalized that "Ramie's" village would be their next outreach trip, and communicated that with her family, "Ramie's" mother literally ran around the village yelling, "Jesus is coming to our village! Jesus is coming to our village!" Due to Covid, the outreach trip is still on hold, but as soon as the travel restrictions lift, the team is ready to go! Meanwhile, Siriwan and Wichian, the Naomi House leaders, are discipling the family members through regular phone calls.

The Overflow Funds have supported

  • The women of Naomi House going on a local mission trip to share the Gospel in an unreached village of one of the ex-juvenile hall girls.
  • One woman coming out of trafficking into life, employment and discipleship at the Naomi House

We are thankful to be a small part of the unfolding story at Naomi House, and thankful for YOU! You are a part of this story too, friends! Your purchases at Adorn support these women, helping them to pursue a sustainable and safe lifestyle in Thailand.
